I'm sure this has been covered but after a search I did not find what I'm looking for, so here's the poop...
VERY VERY intermittent starting problem. Turn key to "on", electronics light up & fuel pump spins up to pressurize system (ie: no apparent problem), finish turning key to "start" and nothing. Dead silence. Not even the "click" sound when the solenoid kicks the starter but the battery is too dead to spin the starter. I keep thinking it's the neutral safety switch or the starter has a bad spot on the armature. I've discounted the CPS as otherwise the engine starts fine. Any way to check this out before I drive the car 90+ miles to the only dealer in the state? I'd hate to leave the car there for a week only for them to tell me "it started fine for us". This has occurred three time in the past 15k miles or so and every time the car has started after two or three start attempts. Really weird how it will not start up and then, moments later, does.
