I too have had new bearings fail after a short time, esp on Saabs.
- The bearing can be damaged when pressed into the hub
- The hub itself could be damaged, and will eat bearings.
- It *could* be a defective bearing, but I have to say that's pretty rare.
Your symptoms sure sound like a bad bearing. But have the hub checked out before throwing another bearing in there.
