The car died on me in May due to a failed fuel pump. I have replaced both front wheel bearings, the cabin fan, the rear shocks once, it needs new rears again as well as front struts (for the first time!).
I have never dropped the pan but have had the valve cover off twice with no sign of engine sludge. Fresh synthetic oil every 5,000 miles, new plugs and a bottle of Techron every 10,000 miles, and I generally try to stay current with all recommended service. I installed new head bolts at around 140,000 miles because of reports of weak bolts & low bolt torque but found no problems with mine.
I replace the serpentine belt and small idler pulley at 60,000 mile intervals. I replaced the tensioner pulley and lower/center idler at 120,000 miles. At 240,000 miles I plan to replace the entire tensioner.
One new SID and I later had to have that one repaired.
This has been a great car!
