I was perusing the WIS tonight, and came across a section marked "ISOFIX Hooks, Rear Seat" and the subsections "To Remove" and "To Fit"...
Seems the ISOFIX/LATCH hooks are part of brackets that use the seat belt anchors.
Without seeing cars with and without, I can't tell for sure just what may be different. They may have had to drill extra holes for bolts, etc.
Also, it doesn't avoid one other issue: You may not have easy access to them on a pre-2002 9-5. The 2002 & up 9-5s have a small bolster that lifts to provide that access...
