Yeah, you are so right and it's not an easy business. This is the same car that had to be flatbedded in twice with a no start condition - and each time I had to pick it up as the dealer found no fault codes. I finally ended up driving it to the dealer, letting it sit for 15 minutes while I went for a short walk. Upon returning the car would not start so I almost literally dragged a tech out and make him find the fault code and test CPS resistance, it was of course the CPS. The tech weakly said that he had tried the same thing each time the car was towed in but found nothing. I'm not sure I really believe that.

About to change my timing chain on my 1999 with the "roll in" in car method. Do you see any reason why I shouldn't remove the cam shafts and align them when the new chain is routed, the WIS method seems cumbersome without the special tools, I'm thinking just remove the cams and line up all the marks before tightening them back in place.
