V6 TB air intake hose concern

It seems that the bend in the TB air intake hose on my V6 PN 4967857, old PN 4728838 has almost a "kink" in it right where it bends off from the metal pipe which contains the intake temp sensor. My car is almost 10 years old and wondering if the heat and overall wear and tear has cause it to give and bend a little possibly constricting air flow.

I just replace the turbo and the old turbo caused a lot of oil build up in the air hoses up to the TB.

Question: Should that TB air intake hose have a constant diameter all the way through? I'm thinking of buying a new one, especially since I replaced the turbo and put a Nordic Stage II on it with a higher end charge air cooler. (I live in a hot climate).
