Seals are not part of the TB change... But one could also do them as part of that job. Unlike the chain on the 4-cylinder, the belt on the 6 is separated from the lubricated insides of the motor. One does not need to disturb any seals when changing the belt (you don't have to on the 4, either, but for different reasons).
But replacing the seals means removing the TB sprockets on the cams and crank. Not usually a job they would do unless they suspected them leaking.
But, I'd be surprised if the shop didn't tell you what they did think was leaking, if they didn't think it was the crank seal...
