I plan on replacing mine as part of my upcoming water pump replacement. As many parts as hve to be removed to gain access to the pump, I should be able to get to the radiator hose! I have had a lower hose in my garage for over two years now and have failed with previous attampts to change it.
I did see a photo set somewhere from an owner who installed a FMIC (full metal intercooler) beneath the front bumper of theri 9-5. To do this job, the entire bumper skin and front fascia had to removed. I was startled to see how accessible the lower radiator hose and clamp were with these body panels removed!
Maybe the answer to do install a FMIC as part of the radiator hose replacement.
