I've had it in my car for probably 60K miles over 4 or 5 years. If anything, fuel economy has improved. I regularly get 26.5 mpg combined city/hwy (mostly hwy) and 29-34 on long highway trips.
I bought mine pre-PPC so it involved swapping ECUs so I'm careful not to let anyone reprogram my ECU. I forget the torque spec but I think torque increase is even more dramatic than the horsepower. It really give the car a lot of spirit.
I've been putting premium in the car since before the ECU upgrade. Found that fuel economy went down by a corresponding amount to the lesser cost of regular or mid grade gas. The only drawback I would mention is that there is some torque steer that wasn't noticible before the BSR upgrade. The car now has a higer flow K&M cloth air filter. I guess that makes my upgrade Stage II although I don't think the air filter makes much difference.
I can't comment on the boost pressure question since my car never had a boost gage.
All said, it was money well spent.
