No, I have never done that..... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Fri, 14 Mar 2008 09:10:05 In Reply to: Question Roger, Jas, Fri, 14 Mar 2008 08:54:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
In fact, I have only ever had one legitimate alarm situation and that happened a week or so ago. I was doing work on the car, had the window open but accidentally locked the door just as I reached in for something - I think that was what happened. It was my fault for setting off the alarm but I can't remember the exact sequence now.
I had the CR17335SEFT batteries installed for 16 months with no problems, then they grew weak and started causing false trips and the STA message. The remote battery pack worked great for 3 or 4 weeks, then a couple quick false sirens (2 or 3 seconds long) in the middle of the afternoon on consecutive days, followed by a STA the third day.
I may just have a bad connection in the wiring I installed, or the battery pack switch may be set to "OFF" somehow (road vibration and/or gravity).
