That only calibrates it... Posted by B Millar [Email] (#1109) [Profile/Gallery] (more from B Millar) on Sat, 15 Mar 2008 09:58:00 In Reply to: Re: New 9-5 owner!, RonL, Sat, 15 Mar 2008 08:42:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If you want to program it to be on every time you start the car follow the instructions below. The previous owner must have calibrated the ACC to be off when you start the car. If you park the car in the OFF position for less than 10 minutes I think, it will revert to whatever the ACC was on when you shut it off. Parked longer than that it will do the default programmed into the ACC. That's why yours is sometimes on after leaving the car for just a little while. I have mine to be programmed to come on at 68 degrees for both passenger and driver. I wouldn't recommend programming it with ECON selected, as that shuts off the A/C compressor. The coolant flowing through the line and compressor acts as a lubricant and keeps the pipes in good shape. I made the mistake of doing this once for a while and when summer came along I had a hole somewhere and a slow coolant leak. Oops. Congrats on the new car! Enjoy.
