Oil pressure switch -right diagnosis?

I had my dealer put my '99 (143K)on the hoist to identify the source of some oil leaks a few months ago. The told me some rotten PCV hoses and a leeky oil pressure switch were responsible. I went ahead and purchased new PCV hoses at the time but held off on buying the whole PCV kit. I also bought an oil pressure switch.
The new hoses corrected most of the problem, However some PCV system hoses were not replaced. So earlier this week, I bought the PCV #6 upgrade kit and installed that yesterday. The kit contains the rest of the hoses that weren't replaced last Fall.
It was my plan to go ahead and replace the oil pressure switch while the PCV cannister was out. But like Jay Son's experience in an earlier post, I couldn't be sure I'd found the top bolt of the starter. Figuring this was getting to be more of a project than I wanted, it aborted that part to the plan.
Even so, now that I've tried to find the switch, I'm wondering how my dealer could ever have concluded that it was leaking? You can't see it, and when I did get my hand up to it, i don't remember any oil coming back on my fingers -but the car wasn't running at the time either.
The oil (dripping of the bottom of the engine, seems to be originating from around the oil pan.
It leaves me thinking I'm better off leaving the oil pressure switch alone.
