My '03 Aero just passed 90k this week. I bought the car in August 2003, so we've been putting about 20k/year on it. It's a stick shift with the premium package. Thought it might be interesting to post my maintenance & repair cost history.
Repairs needed:
Front passenger door hinge adjustment at the 30 day checkup
sunroof wind deflector at 10k, 14k, and 18k
front passenger window rollers replaced at 30k
power steering leak fixed at 35k
Those all were under warranty of course. Post warranty:
Replaced coolant temperature sensor and thermostat in response to cool running/CEL at 67,500. I did this myself with $40 in parts.
I've spent approximately $1,050 on oil changes (synthetic every 5k), air filters, fuel filters, spark plugs, brake fluid & coolant flushes, the 60k and 90k services, etc.
The front brake pads were replaced once at 64k to the tune of $190.
I've put on two sets of tires, Kumho Ecsta ASXs, total of $930. I'm probably 2/3 of the way through the second set, so it'd be fair to call that another $250 or so worth of tires for a grand total of ~$1,200.
So, in total I've got one non-warranty repair at $40, routine maintenance of $1,240, and about $1,200 in tires.
In my hands, the car gets ~28 mpg in mixed city/highway. My wife only gets 23 mpg - a combination of more city driving and a heavier foot!
