After they replace the hose, make sure a quality motorized vacuum pump is used to boil out all moisture. That means using a pump like the Robinair shown in the link. The cheap compressor driven ones don't produe a deep vacuum of 29.5" hg. You need that kind of vacuum for 20 minutes to fully boil all the moisture out of the system. Just a little bit of moisture becomes very very corrosive when combined with refrigerants.
Some of the independents I've seen either don't vacuum pump or don't invest in an adequate pump. Auto zone may loan them out.
A new receiver dryer should also be put in while the system is apart. the existing one may be saturated with contaminants.
