Here's what mine looks like with 175k miles on it and it's still okay. Anders, the Saab expert, posted a while back that the torque rod mount was a very easy part for mechanics to trick customers into paying for. Even a brand new torque rod mount still allows the engine to move back and forth quite a bit. So when the mechanic shows the customer how much the engine is rocking back and forth it scares them into paying to have it replaced. Any chance you can snap a picture of yours and post it up here just to be sure?
