I have always worried about those silly weights. I take a small hammer and tap them down to match their shape to the curve of the rim as well as possible, then run a _small_ bead of clear silicone sealant along the accessible edges. They will not come off until you need them off.
BTW, your RK-II wheels are something like $650 each - please treat them kindly. IMHO, they are best left in the garage over the winter, and some cheaper 16 inch alloys with snow tires let you get around better anyway.
