I followed your lead and have the same problem... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Tired of STA... can someone post how to disable w/Tech2, Marcin, Wed, 9 Apr 2008 05:32:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I even opened the Radio Shack battery box and replaced the 28ga wire with 18ga automotive wire, thinking the very thin wire may have been restricting voltage to the siren unit. Alas, the problem persists.
The only thing I haven't done is remove the siren again to verify solder connections on the circuit board. But I was so careful performing those solder connections when I installed the remote battery box that I don't see much possibility of a problem there.
Did you install crimp-on style wire connectors, twisted wire splices, or some other type. I have noticed problems maintaining tightness of the crimped connections I purchased and installed.
My side trip to Flint MI and the Trio Motors Dealership where Allan had the "Battery Test" feature disabled was cancelled last week. I had planned to ask the Tech there for detailed step-by-steps that I could provide to others when he disabled this feature for me.
