Wakefield. The salesman (used car guy) was kind of hopeless in finding us a shipper - dragged on for a couple of weeks after the sale. I finally found my own shipper on the Web and had the car 3 days later. I had reasoned that a Saab dealer selling on the web would have had shipping figured out - not the case. No big deal.
The car arrived pretty much as advertised. The only thing I could find wrong with it was that one of the windows did not operate and the Saab medallion on the hatch was worn. As we have the CPO, next time in for an oil change we'll get the window done - no charge. The local dealer replaced the medallion (n/c) when we had the car inspected to register it in NY State.
We have found 9-5's to be VERY reliable, and generally trouble-free. Our previous 9-5 wagon did experience the absurdly expensive ABS module failure, unfortunately, BEFORE the cheap/simple fix was posted on Saabnet. That was really the car's ONLY major repair in the 4+ years we owned it.
For long trips, the 9-5 wagon is about the most comfortable ride imaginable, and the luggage carrying capacity is excellent. You can expect 30-35mpg on the interstates, and anywhere from 18 to 25mpg locally. We tend to feed mid-grade fuel to our Arc, as we did to its 2000 Linear predecessor.
