39K might be a little early, but we should change the PS fluid periodically. My WIS has a procedure that entails disconnecting a PS hose, placing the end in a bucket, then start the engine, run the PS pump to the point of just being dry, then shutting things down and re-filling the resevoir.
I use my garage turkey baster to suck the fluid out of the resevoir, then re-fill. I don't get all the fluid removed this way, so I do it three times or so to fully exchange the fluid.
Only use Pentosin CHF-11s fluid.
