There's definitely something going on with your car. DO NOT continue to drive it like this. You really need to buck up and bring it to a Saab dealer or independent mechanic that *specializes* in Saabs. It's a known fact among (most) Saab owners that these cars require preventative maintenance. If you let things go, and keep driving it when it's obviously trying to tell you something is wrong, something that may have cost you $500 to fix in the beginning will probably end up costing you a LOT more. For example, it sounds like you might be having DIC issues. Continuing to drive the car with the DIC failing will lead to catalytic converter failure, another repair on top of the original problem. Now, I can't give you a definite answer, especially without the year, engine, and mileage of your car, but it's a suggestion as to what to look into. DEFINITELY bring it somewhere that knows Saabs. Good luck.
