I found the torque link as you described. Just for grins, I also removed the bolts in the upper mount and the back bolt behind the drive shaft. And youy are all right it just fell out on the floor. It was a lot of work and I am glad that I pulled it.

You will never guess what I found in the pan on top of the splash shield one of the screws that look like the screws that hold the DIC to the cam cover. As for trash and carbon sludge there really was very little no sludge and just about a teaspoon full of carbon grit under the screen the screen had very little grit blocking the screen. No metal was picked up by magnet and no shiny aluminum after 110,000 Miles. So I guess the frequent oil changes and good synthetic oil are worth the effort and cost. I am a happy camper now and will have peace of mind for the next 100K miles. Now if I can just get this thing back together!!!!!!

I would like to sincerely thank all of those who have contributed to this information source I sure helped me and My son.
