I have done this job with the car on ramps, and with the car flat on the driveway before I owned ramps. Much easier on ramps.
In addition to the three or four captive screws securing the air filter bottom cover to the housing, you will want to remove the single short screw immediately in front of the pasenger side wheel well which secures the chin spoiler. With this screw removed, you can easily bend the chin spoiler aside to cleanly remove the air filter housing bottom cover.
