Well, I know where to turn off the STA message in SID but that was not what we were debating in earlier threads.

It was the option to turn off the TWICE siren battery check which after all might just be the SID STA disable?

You find the STA message disable under Body/SID/Adjustments in the Tech 2.
That is also where you turn on or off the Check Brake message and also reset service message on 04 and 9-5.

Another very important thing to keep in mind.
Some features change with Tech 2 updates. It is many mechanics out there (some even call them self Saab specialists) that have very old software versions in their Tech 2 and they might not be able to do some changes that we are talking about here.

So one thing that needs to be addressed is to ask the mechanic what version he is running on the Tech 2. And some of them just give you a blank stare when you ask. That means they have no clue what you are talking about.
