I took my 9-5 Aero in for an alignment and had to bring it back because they didn't have any shims for the rear in stock. Seems like every time I take my car to them I have to go 3 times: once to figure out what the problem is and tell me they have to order parts, once to get the ordered parts installed, and once to have them complete the last part of the job they always forget to do or fix something else they broke while making the repair. I try to make it easy on them by taking a printed list of everything I want done to the car, but it never fails that I have to go back.
Here's an incomplete list:
SID light bulb replacement --> took a chunk out of the instrument panel
Replacement of instrument panel --> scratched new panel
Oil change --> overtightened drain plug to the point that I rounded it off with a 6-pt socket
Oil change --> overtightened plug again (I stopped trying to budge it after my torque wrench went past 80 ft-lbs and it still wouldn't move)
Alignment --> steering wheel off-center by 15+ degrees
Body work after being hit --> re-attached rear wheel-well liner with only 2 of the 6 bolts required
I do most things myself now that it's out of warranty.
