BEWARE the stupid Nokian "dealers"!

I also have an Aero with a set of Nokian Z's. Got them last Spring. GREAT tires. But you've got to BEWARE the idiots that are listed as Nokian "dealers." When I was looking for a set of Z's last year, I went to the Nokian site to see who sold them. Not one of the local Nokian "dealers" had a single Nokian summer tire in stock - and this was in March. Some had Hakkas in stock, that was it.
One such "dealer" told me the Z's weren't being made anymore - discontinued, he said. Another "dealer" reported that they weren't being imported into the US! A third one had "never heard of" that model. I called the Nokian US HQ in Tenn. and they were surprised, to say the least.
After finding a dealer who was willing to get me the tires IF I paid $20 apiece extra for shipping, I almost gave up. The parts manager at my local Saab dealer - someone I've known for years - got me a set within a week. I paid a fair price (see my recent post on this subject, I don't recall the exact numbers right now) and am VERY happy with the tires. I ran them for about 7K miles and can see that the "8" wear marker is not quite gone now.
I dunno why Nokian's dealers seem to be so reluctant to sell these tires: maybe the markup isn't as high as for other comparable tires. The Saab parts manager only noted that being a directional design, the Nokian Z's can't be rotated side to side, so maybe a bit less life, overall.
