20mm is the distance between the underside of the large U-shaped bracket and the top of the motor mount. My car is a 2007 9-5 with only 12K miles on the odometer.
The EPC shows the same part no. for all model years 2002-2007. Earlier models used a different part no. superseded by the part no. used for 2007.
The WIS does not provide any specifications regarding this measurement. I would not replace it based upon a perceived difference, but rather replacement should be based upon functional failure....the vibration damper no longer supports the engine...meaning it has collapsed. My former 2000 9-5 never failed even after 280K miles FWTW.
