Saab racks are Thules with different mounting feet

They have pins that plug into holes in the side edges of the roof. The generic ones have feet that sit on the roof and also hook under the top of the door frame. They eventually scuff the paint where they sit.
I have them on my 9000 and they carry my kayaks very nicely.
I also have the Saab racks for our 9-5 wagon with roof rails. They clamp onto the rails and also hold the 'yaks just fine.
Either set takes under 5 minutes to put on or take off.
I use the Thule J-bar kayak holders, and it's worth investing in the Big Mouth (or some name like that) clamps to make taking them on and off easier.
The only drawback (as another poster notes) is that Saab bars are a bit narrow --they only go to the edges of the roof-- but Thule sells extenders that can be attached with some clamps. I have a spare set of Thule bars I picked up at the town dump that I clamp on when I need extra width.
