Oil Cooler Plate Coolant Leak on V6 Posted by Greg Bender [Email] (#1027) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Greg Bender) on Wed, 14 May 2008 20:17:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi all,
The oil cooler plate on my 2000 SE (V6) is leaking coolant. I've removed everything down to the oil cooler plate tonight (first time, took about 90 minutes to this point). It seems that before I proceed further, that I should drain the coolant from the system??? I don't see any need to drain the engine oil (although it will probably leak just a bit when I remove the banjo bolts)???
Upon reassembly, I'm planning to fit new o-rings and gaskets to everything I've disturbed (including the fuel injectors). Any opinions on this are welcome. Thanks!
Regards,
Greg Bender
