A/C works great when I start the car but as the car gets hot from driving around in traffic it will just quit I mean completely quit.
I have an error 22? when it does it but it goes away when its working.
I thought it might be the relay under the hood, but I was investigating other posts and I found that the coolant temp gauge runs through this relay also? The car does not say anything about that, but my coolant temp gauge is always fine, after about an hour of cooling the a/c works fine again. ambient air was 91 degree's I started the car and within minutes register 39 degree's from vents. 18 minutes into traffic it went to 81 degree's and did not come back until the car set in the shade for 1 hour with engine off then it registered 39 degree's again. I checked my freon level since I have not serviced it in over a year. manifold pressure was just under 100 with engine off, and was about 40 with engine running.
