Very Easy... Posted by B Millar [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Can glovebox interior be removed? ('00 Aero), Scott Hanson, Tue, 27 May 2008 09:48:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Go to fixmysaab.com and under the Interior 9-5 section check out the Cabin Air filter procedure. It shows how to remove the glovebox. There are only two wires leading to the light, and a ~1" rubber tube that leads to the back for the "refrigeration." It's actually just a tube connected to the A/C box. Not terribly complicated setup for the cooling. Below is a picture of a rocker switch I installed for my iPod wired FM modulator.
PS - FYI, I had a terrible glovebox squeak so I cut up some 1"x1" pieces of fabric and punched a hole in the middle of each and shishkabobbed (sp?) them between the glovebox plastic and the dash plastic through the bottom 3 or 4 (I forget now) screws. Took care of the problem. You may want to just do it while you've got everything out. Good luck!
