The sedan model tend to break the wiring going into the trunk lid right where the accordion like rubber grommet is attached.
The first time it might be possible to pull extra wire harness from the trunk and repair the broken wires and place the repaired section inside the trunk lid instead, giving a new place to wiggle the wires.
Next time you probably have to replace the whole wire harness.
