I have had three sets of winter tires.
The first were Nokian Hakka Q's. By far the best grip, but I also primarily drive on exprrssways and their Q speed rating made them, exciting shall we say, at speeds above 70mph.
My second set were Semperit Winter Sports with an H speed rating. A much more secure tire at high speeds on dry winter roads, but not as grippy as the Nokians.
My third set is my current Dunlop M3's, also an H rated tire. Possibly slightly better than the Semperits, and these were very highly rated on Tire Rack.
I frequent Tire Rack for reviews, ratings, and opinions; and they have fantastic service. But I have found better pricing sometimes at other sites.
