Pre-buy inspect. done, no sludge found, BUY 9-5 Aero?

Hey folks, the pre-buy inspection was done and the valve cover was removed to look inside for sludge, as well, an implement was used to insert in oil drainplug to fish around for sludge and none was found either way and engine looks good. The service rep said I could drop the oilpan and check for sludge that way but he thinks since these two tests passed and motor isn't making any "ticking" or clacking" noises that there is nothing to worry about. I'm buying car from used car dealer, so the Saab dealership doing the inspection doesn't have any stake in giving a false report on the car's health. Also, dealership noted that there is an extended warranty freely given to all 1999-2003 9-5s that experience engine failure due to upper components deprived of adequate oil. It is until Dec. 2009 with unlimited mileage! Has anyone heard of this? If this is correct, than anyone of us with sludge engine failures can get an new engine if determined failed via inadequate oil. Should I buy this 9-5 Aero? Am I protected enough from sludge engine failure at this point or do I drop oilpan also and check for sludge that way for an additional $300??? I welcome ALL comments, please help me make correct decision!
