just so it's impossible to get parts. So my suspension starts making rattley noises on the freeway, and thanks to our lovely Bay Area roads out here in Cali, it only got worse; driving across the Benicia Bridge was downright scary as the noise progressed to clangy bangs. I pull off at the first exit and jack up the car (it's 105F here, btw)... my rear left shock absorber seems to have become unattached at the top... no nut, no rubber bushing... (I found a big metal washery thing wedged in between the body and the fenderliner, so it's not all lost). Bringing me to two questions:
1. How much damage will I incur by driving an hour to get back home, and
2. Can anybody help me out with some part numbers for the rubber bushing and the lock nut (or whatever else I might be missing?). btw, I have Koni shocks.
If I had to rank how horrible the drive was, it'd be top three for sure. I HATE when my car is not happy and I can't fix it right away. (Driving my Buick two hours home with it bouncing off the coolant red zone was probably worse).
Thanks,
Chris

Worst part? Being a few exits away from one of the very few nor*cal Saab dealers an hour after they closed. I would even have looked past their horrible customer service if I could have picked up some parts!
