Takes about an hour the first time.
1. Disconnect battery. Might not be necessary, but there is a side airbag sensor in the door and I did not want to take any chances while muscling the door trim off.
2. Lower window
3. Remove hard plastic trim around upper window frame. Plastic trim pulls off. Start at top and gently pull it off around window. If driver’s side, unplug mirror connection.
4. There are 3 torx screws. 1 is under the door latch and 2 are in the door handle. Remove plugs covering screws with very small screwdriver and remove screws.
5. Starting from bottom, or side, pry off door trim (trim is clipped into holes in metal door frame). Push/pull trim upward to remove. Disengage door latch from wire and remove trim upward in order to clear door lock button.
6. Peel soundproofing away. I left bottom and side closest to front of car attached.
7. Window sits in a track that has 2 “legs” in an inverted V shape pointing downward. The bottom of each leg has a tail that snaps into the roller. A clip secures the tail into the roller. The roller sits in a horizontal rail. One of my rollers was broken and the other roller was off its track.
8. Slide the new roller into the track. You’ll need to reconnect the battery so that you can raise and lower the track mechanism to align the legs with the roller. Once aligned, snap the tail into the roller and push the clip on. I used a long nosed pliers to manipulate the clip.
9. Although only 1 roller was broken, I replaced both as the job is easy and the part cheap. Remove the clip with the pliers and use a long, flat bladed screwdriver to pry the roller off the leg/tail.
10. Clean and re-grease everything including lock mechanism. Retape soundproofing if necessary. Disconnect battery again before snapping the trim back on and refitting the door trim.
