An opinion....for whatever it's worth... Posted by Herb Hirsch [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Nav system, Sean Nyhus, Mon, 7 Jul 2008 12:27:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a Garmin nuvi 200W, which is just about the cheapest GPS offered by Garmin. I picked up the Garmin mounting stanchion from Amazon.com. I load new addresses through Google Maps on my PC. To-date I've been quite satisfied. It gets me where I want to go.
The big question for me is, what do I need in the GPS that I can spend another $2,800 on? I use XM for my traffic updates, and I have Bluetooth for my cell phone interfaced with the audio system in the car. The $2,800 I saved is burning a hole in my pocket. Truthfully, I can't conceive of a single valid reason for spendig $2,800 more, and give up flexibility and functionality.
