I prefer the standard lamps for low beams and yellow lamps for foglights. The only advantage I see with bluer lights is one can discern colors better. The disadvantage comes when driving in fog, rain, or snow since light scattering is proportional to the inverse fourth power of wavelength. That is one reason red is used for brake lights. I can't imagine what its like trying to drive in fog with Xenon lamps.
I notice that with our 9-5 one cannot turn on the foglights without the headlights. That seems to defeat their purpose. I suppose one could have them reprogrammed but I have not yet bothered.
