I second the ABS control module as the culprit..... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: 1. ABS Panel Lights 2 Rear Brakes, JWL2SAABS, Sun, 13 Jul 2008 13:57:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just re-installed mine two days ago after sending it to bba-reman for repair. Search on this board for detailed instructions on how to remove this component. The $200 for repair and shipping is MUCH better than the ~$2,200 a Dealer would charge for replacement of the entire ABS pump/valve body/control module assembly.
bba takes care of all shipping by providing you with a pre-paid shipping label via e-mail after you purchase their repair service on-line. You pay for the shipping speed of your choice, from overnight to three day ground. There are other sources for repair of these modules too.
As per my recent posting on this same topic, you may want to buy new motor mounts and install them at the same time. It is much easier to re-install the bottom two ABS control module screws with the left motor mount removed, and motor mounts on these cars may be short lived.
