a lot of people seem to have this problem after getting their windshields replaced, me being one of them
it appears that after they put the new windshield on, the sensor was not sitting tightly against the glass. Basically the sensor is a square/diamond shape that like plano or millar said, is behind the rear view mirror, you will see a cutout of the black windshield sun visor where the sensor sits
i have yet to attempt to fix mine, but the sensor clearly was not flush against the windshield. the sensor has a gel-like layer and that like i said needs to be adhered (in a sense) to the windshield
