My wife drove my 1999 95 the night before. I got up the next morning to drive it to work. Got about a block away from my house and it started slipping, I managed to do a u-turn and cost back to the house. No reverse no Drive, low, low2 etc. I went inside to ask my wife if she noticed anything. She said no. I went out to where the car was parked in the drive way and there was a puddle about the size of a large dinner plate. I went out to the car in the street and noticed a simular fresh puddle about in the center of the car between the tires. I check the fluid stick and there was some "showing" on the stick. Not the best looking color however. The car has 135,000 miles on it. I can get a junkyard tranny for $300 with 90,000 miles. 1. Is there a simple fix I'm not seeing like a "hose" or valve etc. I hav'nt "crawled" underneath the car or put the car on the hoist. 2. If I replace the tranny, is it a nightmare? I replace the engine and turbo about a year ago, and I'll never do it again. Let me know how long it will take to do and if you'd recommend just having someone else install it and "how Much" they might charge.
