In my case, the blend door aperature arm neede to be replaced AND it was low on refrigerent.
Press the Auto and Off buttons on your ACC simultaneously to see if you get any codes. If all is well, then remove your grill, headlight and cornering lamp to get at the low pressure port. The high pressure port is on the right side of the condensor up front. Obtain a manifold gauge set and check that you have pressure in the system.
My system was low on refrigerent. It was showing adequate pressure on the low side -though low, but the high side was only producing around 150 lbs. Not enough to trigger the AC pressure switch. I put close to two 12 oz cans of R-134a in. It is now producing cold air and cycling between 200 and 250 lbs on the high side. I used refrigerent with U-V dye so I will be able to check for leaks if I lose cooling again.
I've got my fingers crossed that after 10 years, it was just time for a recharge.
