I bought the same car in 2004 with 27K, CPO. Mine came with the 2-pc. BBS wheels. The finish on the wheels started to corrode; a good, but expensive fix is outlined on this site.
Otherwise, watch out for funny stuff with starting in the morning, especially when seasons change. I had this problem and solved it (on the dealer's advice) by switching to a different brand of fuel. Problem never returned.
The wiring harness that connects the lights in the trunk lid with the rest of the harness is a weak spot. The action of the truck opening and closing tends to rub against the wiring - it will eventually fail.
I have found my '01 5-speed to be a really dependable car. In the last 40K miles, it has needed that trunk harness (CPO'd) and a water pump - that's it. Lots of oil and filter changes, some light bulbs, the usual maintenance stuff.
BEWARE: This is one FAST Saab! It's very, very quiet and you can be going much too fast without even feeling it!
FWIW, I get 23-4 mpg city and 33-34 mpg highway, Sunoco Ultra.
Enjoy!
