It was over a year ago, and the shop's alignment machine printer was using invisible ink at the time, so I'm not sure if it set to the "sport" or "normal" specs. Looking at my WIS, I think they used the "sport" settings, but I can't be sure. Car seems to drive about the same as always, but in fairness, I also have a 9-3SCV, which by comparison makes the 9=5 Aero Wagon feel more like a Buick.

Tire wear? I haven't put enough miles on any one set of tires in the back to make that determination. Just before the alignment, I had the (directional) rears "flipped" on the rims. Well, one turned out to have been damaged - bent rim, bubble in the sidewall, so it was scrapped. Then the other one started showing a split line all around the tread where it was worn. Beginning of separation or just showing where the tread rubber meets the sidewall rubber? Didn't know, and frankly there wasn't enough total tread left to justify trying to find out, so it was scrapped.

As for the fundamental issue of camber versus load - yeah, it's a fundamental design issue. To reduce understeer, the camber goes more negative as the suspension compresses. But unless you have air supports or "Nivomat" shocks, load does the same thing. At least, the springs seem to be stiff enough that normal driving around loads aren't an issue, but when fully loaded it's not pretty. The 9-3SS has a toe link that allows the rear tire to toe in a little as the suspension loads in addition to the camber change, but in the 9-5, camber has to do it all. At the other end of the spectrum is the 9000, with no rear camber at all thanks to it's solid axle. Great for tire wear. Ride and handling - not so good.
