Without *knowing* what it is, it's hard to comment. Since it's "silicate free", I don't see how it could protect the water pumps that get eroded by Dexcool. If i'm a betting man, I would assume that any car old enough to be getting new coolant won't be owned by the same person in 8 more years. So one could easily formulate a "stronger" version of Dexcool, color it yellow, and call it "lifetime".

"Old World" automotive doesn't exactly have the kind of track record to justify the grandiose claims. Their other products include "Splitfire" spark plugs (remember them?) and a line of synthetic medium oil filters, similar to the long extinct Delco Gold line of filters, except they claimed a lot lower filtering efficiency than Delco did. That is, they claimed filtering down to 20 microns, where Delco claimed down to 10 microns. That said, what I've seen written is that 40 microns is good enough to prevent engine wear.

Bottom line: I would treat it like "Dexcool". If it's substantially cheaper than Dexcool, I'd consider it. If not, and if Dexcool (or G05 if you prefer) is available to you, why would you change?
