for '99 the color is blue actually from Saab but other colors are approved and last refresh was from an Indie who I think used orange but I will have to check it all again tonight. if coolant, could be hose (that would be awesome). that indie just put new waterpump on it last year. so, would be mighty upset if it's leaking already!
I think you are right about the refrig b/c location. I had similar looking goop when I had the dye in the AC system and was leaking at evap but that was b/c the dye leaking out was mixing with condensation. since this is at the pulley wall area of the engine more likely a coolant or PS fluid hose or pump. maybe the sweet taste test doesnt apply anymore to newer coolants! it tasted yuck! (3 hours later and I'm still spitting out my saliva!! haha!).
most likely water pump again. not happy.
could be hose. originals at 120k. hope that's it.
could be PS hose or pump. hope not $$$$.
