If some really, really strange fault codes are popping up in the ABS module, it is probably a bad rebuilt one.
I had one myself that came back from Auto Truck Electronics and it displayed fault codes that I had never seen before and when I sent it back to them, they said it couldn't be repaired due to software problem inside the unit.
A friend of mine at another shop had a similar experience with them and the rebuilt module showed a bunch of strange codes.
I have also read a post here of someone using BBA with a similar result.
So the rebuild act is not fool proof even though you read about many successful repairs.
My suspicion is that sometimes it is a less than stellar guy sitting there maybe dropping a blob of solder on the wrong spot of the circuit board, cross connecting things that shouldn't be cross connected and when you plug the ABS module into the car and power it up, it burns something inside and it is all history.
