Wheels from the OG 9-3s are identical to 9-5 wheels in all respects and are fully interchangeable. Wheels from the current 9-3SS are mostly identical, bolt pattern and hub diameter are identical, however the offset (distance from mounting face to tire centerline) are slightly different, something like 10mm or so, I'm not sure what it is exactly.
It should be noted that wheel bearings are designed with the wheel offset in mind, so the load takes the know path through the bearings. Changing the offset will change how the bearings take the load, both from vertical loads and the loads produced by turning. Whether or not the bearings can take the new load path is an open question. Many 9-5 owners are using 9-3SS wheels and I have not read any post on bearing death yet, so they seem to be at least fairly tolerant of the change in load path.
