Looking to buy a "new2me" 9-5!

I know this must seem like a dumb question, but....what's the most reliable year for the 9-5? Even though the nearest Saab dealer to me is about 35 miles away (Symes in Pasadena, CA--not the best dealer I might add!), I just want one everytime I see one!
I currently own a 1995 900S B234 non-turbo, with almost 232,000 miles (bought it new). I'll keep it for as long as it drives! Seeing all of the options for cars out there, and their prices, scares me, because they are an unknown quantity. At least with Saabs there is the Saabnet, where great info can be had to help you keep your car going.
So, maybe I can get a used but not abused 9-5, but I know absolutely nothing about them other than I like what I see.
So, year/engine combo that seems to have the LEAST problems is what I seek. Oh, and I do a lot of maintenance on my own--brakes, rotors, radiator, valve cover gaskets, shocks, plugs, etc. So let her rip!
Thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post, but I'm starting to realize my 900S won't last forever--even though it's running great--so I better plan ahead.
