Due to similar experience, on my 2000 9-5 Aero, at around 90K +/-, I installed Bilstein Sports F+R, H&R springs, Powerflex poly bushes all around, and 18x8 BBS CH wheels with Michelin PS2s, and was asolutely thrilled with the improvement. Virtually flat cornering attitude, firm ride but by no means harsh - the ride quality actaully improved over the stock Aero suspension with 17" Klingons+Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I would strongly advocate this setup. My only advice is that IF you install lowering springs be certain to install camber bolts for the front struts and shim the rear hubs - w/o correction, my initial camber settings were in the neigborhood of -1.7 deg front/-2.0 deg rear. This caused me to tear through at least two pricey PS2s within approx 10,000 miles.
Best of luck in yur endeavors,
James
