Got my Saab key blanks today--Pleasant Surprise.

After much research, I ordered two key blanks ($31) from the dealer. I am planning to use the guts from E-Bay to get an all in one key.
What I didn't realize was that the key blank was not just the metal piece. The whole plastic fob assembly came with it, and now all I need are the electronics. I was expecting to have to remove the metal shaft from the E-Bay key and install the new shaft, but it is just the other way around--I pull the electronic part with the buttons out of the E-Bay key and put it in the new part from Saab.
This eliminated one of my worries that the E-Bay key would be used looking. I will keep posting my progress to help with others searching for info in the future. If this all goes as planned I will have $120 into the two actual keys plus whatever my indy charges me for the Tech 2 part.
